Not all women are blessed with easy fertility. Some may have to work at it if they want to have a shot at getting pregnant. If you’re one of the few women who don’t get pregnant easily, here are some tips that would help you conceive a baby soon.

1. Enjoy your sex life. This is the time of your life when you can freely have sex with your husband without worrying about birth control. Think about it – because of your desire to have a baby, you can actually enjoy sex without that pesky condom sticking inside of you.

To be able to make the whole thing fun and productive, make sure both of your schedules are cleared up on certain days of the month. Make sure both of you are home as early as six so that you can prepare dinner prior to the act. This builds anticipation which would highly increase the pleasure. Studies have shown that the more pleasurable sex is, the higher the sperm count that your husband gets to release.

2. When having sex, stay away from oil-based lubricants or any lubricants for that matter. Many researchers point out that using lubricants can dilute the sperm and eventually kill them off. If friction is getting in the way of penetration, you can simply tell your husband to use saliva instead. It’s much more natural that way.

3. Stay healthy at all times. This applies not only to you but to your husband as well. Being healthy is a prerequisite for sperm production as well as in ensuring you produce a healthy child free of deformities. Avoid caffeine, nicotine, and beverages. They contain harmful substances than can drastically reduce your egg count as well as your husband’s sperm count.

4. Double the fun during your fertile days. Take note that they only lasts for six days a month, so you must grab the opportunity every chance you get. If you don’t know your ovulation days, buy one of those ovulation packs displayed in the counter of your local store. They are not conclusive but they should help you point out the best possible dates for sex.

5. For most females who have a regular 28-day menstrual cycle, you simply do the math by subtracting 14 from the total. Then the result would be day of your ovulation. But if you have irregular cycles, you need to monitor your waking body temperature as well as the fluid discharge leading up to your ovulation day. You will notice your discharge getting thicker and more whitish than usual. This means you are pumped for sex and will mostly likely conceive tonight. Again, don’t take it for granted. Have sex every chance you get.

Herbal Hair Loss Remedies For External Use

Posted by admin @ 7:04 pm

In a separate article in this series we looked at some of the most popular herbal hair loss remedies for ingestion. Here we’ll expand that theme to include some potentially useful herbal remedies for external use.
Aloe vera – some Indian tribes of Mexico attribute their thick, healthy hair to regular use of aloe vera gel which they rub into the scalp and hair each night. Herbalists believe that the herb activates the production of nitric oxide and contains an enzyme known as superoxide dismutane. Some experts feel that these two substances combine to stimulate hair regrowth in those suffering from male pattern type baldness.
Onion (Allium cepa) – this has a high sulfur content that is believed to have hair-healing properties. Some herbalists believe that rubbing the scalp with half an onion before washing hair encourages hair growth.
Red pepper (Capiscum) – a popular folk remedy that involves the application of a red pepper poultice to the scalp to act as a skin irritant. This draws blood and nutrients to the scalp and encourages the release of histimines to stimulate cell division and hair regrowth.
Safflower oil (Carthamus tinctorious) – Eastern health practitioners believe that safflower oil applied to the scalp acts as a vasolidator that dilates blood vessels. This allows more blood to deliver nutrients to the hair follicle thus creating an environment conducive to hair regrowth.

First Aid Burn Care

Posted by admin @ 12:04 pm

Burns are classified in order of their severity and involvement in the tissues of the body; the classifications are: first, second and third degree burns. First aid for burns is specific to the burn injury. First aid for burns varies slightly from the less serious burns to the severe. Second degree burns can be as severe as some third degree burns if they cover a major portion of the body, or on tender areas of the arms, hands and feet.

First aid for burns in the first degree

First degree burns involve the epidermis, the outermost layer of the skin. This layer is like a raincoat. The epidermis is the layer that keeps all the body fluids within the body and keeps bacteria and all the elements outside the body from entering. In a first degree burn the epidermis has not been injured very badly, it is to be considered a minor burn unless the burn involves sensitive areas such as the face, groin, buttocks, or the hands and feet. The first objective is to get away from the source of heat, and then cool the burn. Run cool water over the burn or place a cool compress over it. Cooling the burn prevents swelling and thus helps to relieve pain.

First aid for burns of the second degree

Second degree burns penetrate down to the dermis, which is the second layer of skin. There is a layer of fluid that collects between the epidermis and the dermis, which causes blistering. Severe pain is associated with a second degree burn due to swelling. As with the first degree burns the first aid for burns are the same. Remove yourself from the source of the burn. Run water over the burn or if that isn’t feasible, place moist towels over the burn for 15 minutes to cool reduce the swelling and cool the burn. If the second degree burn is larger than 3 inches treat it as a major burn, especially if the burn is on the face, hands, feet, buttocks, groin or major joint. Large second degree burns should be treated like an emergency. Dial 911 and get medical help immediately.

First aid for burns of the third degree

Third degree burns are usually painless because the nerve endings have been burned away. You may not know initially how badly burned you may be. The burn will have penetrated the skin and fatty layer, and may be even more involved. Third degree burns can go down to the muscle layers and even to the bone. Some professionals categorize burns that penetrate to the bone as fourth degree burns.

First aid for burns of the 3rd degree starts out by getting away from the source of the burn, and call 911 The victim should be lying down with his/her feet elevated above the heart to prevent the symptoms of shock. Cool moist towels should be placed over the burns. Do not immerse the large third degree burns in cold water; this could cause the victim to go into shock. Never try to remove clothing that is stuck to a burned area. Once EMS has arrived let them take over the care of the victim.
