 Brief History

Formerly known as American Care and Education for Sudan, Aid and Care was born out of many years of hardships, and resilience refugees called the Lost Boys of Sudan. The organization was founded through the vision and action of the 'lost Boys' to provide assistance to the neediest and particularly to those who suffer from man made and natural calamities and wars survivors  in Africa and to address needs sought by refugees resettled in the US.

The vision of founding Aid and Care Inc is dedicated to the  legacy of Lost Boys of Sudan, a group of young orphaned refugees forced from their villages by civil war, force of being hunting down for enslave, resisting lead to end of their lives, had to trek more than thousands of miles through African most dangerous forests, rivers, and semi-arid areas to safe their lives. While they were walking to search for place to live, food to survive, security, and protections, thousands died along the way as the results of drowned, eaten by wild animals, shot by military forces or overcame by hunger, dehydration or fatigue.

Among the lost boys is Dominic Diing who escaped his village in 1987 when he was 7 years old and walked to Ethiopia for more than duets of thousand miles. Having had experience that lack of human basic needs, the needs that human beings cannot do without are  dead end of human life especially children, orphans, refugees, and vulnerable communities primary in Sudan, he envisioned the futures for others who have similar situations he had in Africa would not reveal without help. Diing, a graduate of Niagara University majored in Economics and Finance founded this organization to assist refugees in the US and people live  in the world's poorest communities in Africa. Diing founding mission came from the awake of flashbacks of his 'nightmares' that he deals with in  his life history and also his believes that  God told His people in the world to go to help in other world.
